No fewer than six serving corps members were injured as armed robbers attacked their lodge and cart away valuables in Osun State. The Lagos State Police Command has released the father of a 21-year-old student of the University of Lagos, who allegedly stabbed the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, Usifo Ataga, to death. Two commercial banks and police stations were on Wednesday attacked by armed robbers in Apomu and Ikire towns in Osun state. During the attack, it was learnt many people were shot dead by the robbers, even though the state police command said the number of casualty was not available. Unidentified gunmen have reportedly killed three officials of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, in Isiokpo community in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State. Prior to killing the NCS operatives, attacked a military checkpoint within Omuaga axis of Elele-Owerre, close to the Port Harcourt International Airport, Daily Post reports.
