The Academic Staff Union of University, ASUU, has called off the nine-month industrial action embarked by the association.

This was made known at a press conference on Wednesday in Abuja led by the president, Biodun Ogunyemi.

According to Mr Ogunyemi, the decision to suspend the long industrial action followed the agreement reached with the Federal Government and a meeting with its National Executive Council (NEC).

He said the suspension of the strike takes effect from Thursday, December 24th, 2020.
