Coach of the Nigerian Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr has named his final 23-man squad. His team has 3 goal keepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and six attackers. As part of its preparations for the 2018 World Cup starting in Russia on June 14, the Nigerian Super Eagles lost by 2:1 to the English team in a friendly match played at the Wembly stadium. The English team took off to a quick start with a 7 minute goal headed in by Gary Cahill. 2018 World Cup: Super Eagle’s Kit Sells Out On First Day

The replica of the Nigerian Super Eagle's kit which was released for sale to the public on June 1 has sold out on the first day with about three million pre-orders. People were seen queuing up outside Nike's store in London in a bid to get the kit which sold for £64.95 (about N32,000). The Nigerian kit appears to have won them new fans even as Nigerians encourage the Super Eagles to go to the world cup and be as successful as their kit's launch was.
