Only Heaven Is Safe, Buhari Has Done Enough – Keyamo

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has said that the Muhammadu Buhari government cannot assure Nigerians that there won’t be security breaches as only Heaven is safe. Keyamo disclosed this while responding to a question during an interview on Channels Television on the Buhari government’s efforts toward tackling insecurity across the country. Recall that Keyamo was recently appointed as the All Progressives Congress, APC, spokesperson ahead of the 2023 presidential election. Speak More Against Killings, Buhari Tells South-East Leaders

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged community and religious leaders in the South East to condemn killings going on in the region. He spoke in light of the recent killings of civilians and law enforcement agents by non-state actors in the South East, promising to expedite actions to bring the perpetrators to book. The condemnation followed the alleged killing of six Nigerien citizens and the murder of scores of policemen at their duty posts. Actors Guild Confirms Release Of Abducted Nollywood Stars

The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, has confirmed the safe release of its members, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel (Agbogidi), who were kidnapped while returning from a set in Enugu State. This was contained in a statement issued by the Guild’s Director of Communications, Monalisa Chinda Coker. The statement partly read, “This is to inform the public that the kidnapped actors, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel, have been released, unhurt. Shehu Sani, a former Senator, has said that even though it would have been good for President Muhammadu Buhari to be impeached, it is technically impossible. Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has banned the wearing of facemasks in the public to help with the identification of people in the State. This was disclosed during an emergency security meeting held in Lokoja on Tuesday. The governor issued the directive during a meeting with traditional rulers, and local government council chairmen in the State. Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack: Five More Captives Released

Five more captives that were abducted by terrorists from the Kaduna-Abuja train have been released. On March 28, Terrorists abducted over 60 train passengers after attacking the train, killing 14 and leaving several others wounded. After the incident, the abductees have been released in batches. According to the DailyPost, a family member of one of the victims confirmed that Professor Mustapha Umar Imam, a medical doctor at the Usman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital (UDUS) in Sokoto was among the released captives.
