Governor Dave Umahi, today ordered the flogging of civil servants who came late to work. This was seen in a video shared in Twitter by Prof. Chidi Odinkalu. In the tweet, the Prof said " So, today in Ebonyi, @GovDaveUmahi went for a project inspection & then instructs the soldiers to flog - yes flog! - civil servants who arrived late. Baba Ijesha Sentenced to 16 Years in Prison for Sexual Assault

Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James popularly known as Baba Ijesha has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old. Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences convicted the actor in a two-hour court judgement on Thursday. Police detectives have arrested two pastors in Ondo and rescued 54 worshipers with 23 children, who were been held in an underground apartment, sited under The Whole Believers Bible Church in Ondo state. According to multiple reports, the members were deceived and hypnotized by their pastors to remain in church under the guise of a prophecy that Jesus christ will arrive on September. Ike Ekweremadu and Wife Arrested in the Uk for Trafficking Child for Organ Harvesting

The Metro Police in the UK has announced the arrest of a Nigerian man named Ike Ekweremadu aged 60, and his wife Beatrice Ekweremadu, aged 55. The two were remanded in custody on suspicion of conspiring to bring a minor to the UK for the purpose of organ harvesting. The army in Cameroon has confirmed that soldiers have killed nine civilians, including an 18-month-old girl. An army spokesman said a group of soldiers opened fire when they encountered hostile villagers in Missong, in the country's North-West region, earlier this month. The spokesman described the use of weapons as "inappropriate and manifestly disproportionate". Cameroon's ministry of defence says four soldiers have been arrested following the shooting. Teenager With Albinism Killed For Body Parts In Mozambique

A teenager with albinism was killed and dismembered in Mogovolas district, in Mozambique's northern Nampula province, for his body parts. Police say they have arrested the main suspect, who they say confessed to the murder. The detained suspect is the victim’s uncle, aged 22, according to the Nampula police spokesperson, Zacarias Nacute. The suspect told the press that he had been promised about 7 million meticais ($110,000; £87,000) for the body parts.
