Governor Babjide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has decried the extent of damage done to public and private properties as thugs masquerading under the #EndSARS movement took to the streets wrecking several government infrastructures and looting private businesses across the state. The Edo State Government has commenced the recruitment of teachers for rural and remote communities. The recruitment which is under the Edo Supporting Teachers to Achieve Results (EdoSTAR) Teaching Fellowship Programme will be spread across the state’s three senatorial districts. The EdoSTAR Teaching Fellowship Programme is a three-year intensive training and field experience employment programme for teachers and aspiring teachers who will subsequently be transited into the Edo State Civil Service upon satisfactory job performance. Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano informed President Muhammadu Buhari that construction work at the Onitsha-Enugu federal road has slowed down to almost zero level. Governor Obiano appealed to Buhari to intervene in ensuring speedy delivery of equipment for the construction of Second Niger Bridge which have been purchased but are being delayed Germany. Fashiola, Ngige Approve Reinstatement of TCN staff

Former retired staff of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Dr. Chris Okonkwo has been reinstated back to the service of the company. According to a statement signed by the General Secretary of Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies (SSAEAC), Comrade Nnamdi Ajibo, Okonkwo’s reinstatement followed review of petitions and due investigations by the Ministers of Power and Labour, Dr. Chris Ngige and Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN). According to the statement which reads in part: “Recall the illegal, malice and impunity-driven action of premature retirement of our President General, Engr. Dr. Chris Okonkwo (DBA, FNSE), from the services of TCN, vide a letter dated 24th April 2020, by the former MD TCN, Usman Gur Mohammed.”
