Indian Police Arrest Three Nigerians With Cocaine

Three Nigerians have been arrested with narcotic drugs, among which was cocaine valued at Rs 25 lakh at Maharashtra’s Thane district, police said on Friday. A release said officials of the Mira-Bhayander-Vasai-Virar (MBVV) Police while acting on an intelligence raided a flat in Hatkesh area of Kashimira on Wednesday. It added that about 100 gms of cocaine and 655 gms of ganja were seized from three Nigerians residing in the flat. Corps Member Jailed Two Years for Sex Scam

A High Court in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, yesterday sentenced a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Oyeyemi Caleb to two years in prison. Oyeyemi, serving in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, was jailed for sex scam. Officials of Ilorin zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Oyeyemi (21) on March 16, 2020 based on intelligence reports. Oyeyemi allegedly posed as a white lady, an online sex worker, to defraud one Wilson (a white man) of $100 in order to offer him sex. He was arraigned on November 26, 2020, and pleaded guilty when the counts were read to him. Justice Adenike Akinpelu sentenced him to one year imprisonment with an option of fine of N200,000 on each count.
