Sunday Igboho’s Hearing Adjourned Till Monday Says Beninese Lawyer

The hearing of the charges brought against Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, alias Sunday Igboho, till Monday, 26 July, by the Cour De’appal De Cotonou, Benin Republic. His Beninese lawyer, Rafael Huvehnou, confirmed this in a chat with SaharaReporters, noting that will remain in police custody till the said date. BREAKING: JAMB Commences Release of 2021 UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB) on Friday released results of candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Saturday, 19th and Tuesday, 22 June 2021. The board added the result for subsequent days would be released daily. The board stated these in a statement by its Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, on Friday morning. It directed candidates to check their results by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 through the GSM number used by each candidate to obtain profile code and UTME registration with the board and their results would be relayed to them. Unknown attackers on Tuesday razed two offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Ebonyi State, marking the fourth incident of an arson attack on an INEC office in one week. JAMB Extends UTME Registration By Two Weeks

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board yesterday said the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry earlier slated for June 3 will now commence from June 19 to July 3. The board also announced a two-week extension for candidates to register. The registration exercise will end on May 29. The board also said the Mock UTME earlier scheduled for 20th May will now hold on June 3. The board stated these in a communique issued at the end of a two-day meeting in Abuja. The communique was read by the Registrar of JAMB, Prof Is-haq Oloyede on Saturday. The registrar said only 1,134,424 candidates (UTME+DE) have so far been registered. There is currently tension in Aba commercial town in Abia State, over sounds of gunshots at the police area command, Daily Trust reports.
