Gunmen ambushed a bullion van in Ufuma, Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State on Thursday. Reports say the bullion van was attacked around 4:00 p.m while conveying cash to an undisclosed location. The gunmen followed and shot at the van and security personnel attached to the van. Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, formerly Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, has stated that it cannot retain a pump price of N170 per litre for Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol.
