Ilaro Polytechnic Management  has suspended the Students Union, President, Adegboye Olatunji, who was arrested for engaging in cult activities. The young man was nabbed alongside another cult member, Olarewaju Taiwo, in the full regalia of the black axe cult during initiation of new members of the group. The duo were arrested following a tip off to the police by members of the public. The group were allegedly sighted in a bush at Gbogidi area of Ilaro where they were trying to initiate new members. The Lagos State Government, through the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Ministry of Justice on Friday arraigned the Dangote cement truck driver who was involved in the road accident that led to the death of four persons in Ikorodu. Lagos Gov Appoints Abdullahi as Acting Commissioner for Waterfront

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday approved the appointment of Mallam Ahmed Kabiru Abdullahi as Acting Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development. Abdullahi, who is from Kastina State, was initially appointed by the Governor as Special Adviser on Urban Development. He was also a former Executive Secretary of Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission. According to a circular signed by the Head of Service, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, Abdullahi's redesignation takes immediate effect.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday arrested 18 (Eighteen) suspected internet fraudsters in Alagbado area of Lagos State. The suspects are:  Abass Mukhtar, Enitan Adekunle, Olakunle Araoyinbo, Korede Adetule, Christmas Gabriel, Christmas Yole, Christmas Emmanuel and Harrison Obayogbono. Others are: Victor Kenneth, Adewale Musibau, Oluwajuwon Shofuyi, Idris Abdulazeez, Oyeku Adeoye, Omilana Adeleke, Okeke Chucks, Peters Olamide, Abayomi Jones and Usman Olalekan.
