Why I Won’t Defect From PDP – Ikpeazu

Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has debunked rumors that he intends to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) describing them were unfounded because PDP is the dominant party in the state. Diri Signs N329bn 2021 Appropriation Bill into Law

Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has signed the 2021 bill of N329.29 billion into law. The governor had on November 26 presented an estimate of N290.295 billion tagged, ‘Budget of Growth’ to the state House of Assembly. While assenting to the bill in Government House, Yenagoa, Diri said the increase in the figure would address areas of deficit identified in the appropriation bill as well as assist in the infrastructure development of the state. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has warned that January 2021 will be tough with an increase in new cases of covid-19. We’ll Clampdown on People With Fake COVID-19 Certificates – Lagos Health Commissioner

Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has stated that the Ministry has observed that people have begun to have access to fake Covid-19 certificates, promising to clampdown on such people. He gave this warning at an ongoing press briefing at the Ministry of Health in Lagos on Monday. “We suspect people are gaining access to fake certificates and we will clampdown on them as this is a very dangerous trend.” Abayomi also added that Lagos residents who have tested positive have been observed to give fake contacts and phone numbers at the isolation facilities, making contact tracing difficult.
