Mo Salah Voted Premier League Player Of The Year

Liverpool’s Mo Salah has been voted the men’s Player of the Year in a poll of 400,000 supporters, after netting 32 goals and counting, in all club competitions this calendar year. The Egyptian international was named the best performer in 2021 at the Football Supporters’ Association Awards on Monday. Salah held off competition from Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Man City pair Phil Foden, and Rúben Dias, West Ham United’s Michail Antonio, and Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans to claim the gong. Outspoken Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, has picked holes in the planned payment of N5,000 to poor Nigerians. He described the move as a monumental scam meant to enrich a few. Operatives of the Lagos Command of the EFCC have arrested 60 suspected internet fraudsters during an awards ceremony at the Conference Hotel in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The event tagged “Peer Youths Awards”, investigation revealed, was organized to reward high-level internet fraudsters. Why Buhari Should Not Release Nnamdi Kanu – Northern Elders

The Northern Elders Forum, NEF has advised President Muhammadu Buhari not to release Nnamdi Kanu from custody. Recall that Buhari after a meeting with the Southeast elders promised to consider a lighter resolution but worried that such would interfere with the principles of separation of power between the Executive and Judiciary. Kogi State Commissioner for Environment, Chief Victor Adewale Omofaiye on Sunday escaped Kidnap attempt between Oke-Ijumu and Iyara in Ijumu Local Government Area. The incident according to an eyewitness who pleaded anonymity occurred at about 5 pm while on his way from his hometown, Ekinrin Adde where he attended some ceremonies. The Minister for Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, has stated that in order to secure Nigeria in the next few years, Nigerians should present and verify their National Identity Number even before using a restaurant.
