Omoyele Sowore, the Presidential candidate for the AAC has come out to mock Peter Obi of the Labour Party and the party itself. In a video released yesterday, Sowore referred to the Labour Party as an Orphanage which houses homeless politicians like Peter Obi.

In the video, he said “The Labour Party has become an orphanage for politicians that are homeless. It didn’t take long before our man ran there when he became homeless.”

He went further to attack the party, saying that a person who oversaw a 13 month workers’ strike should not be found in their company “he Labour Party shouldn’t have in its company, somebody who managed 13 months of strike, workers’ strike in Anambra state.”.

He went on to mock Peter Obi for leaving the PDP and also made fun of the fact that Labour Party had no structure. According to him, he got more votes than the Labour Party’s presidential candidate for 2019.

The main text of his video is published below:

“The Labour Party has become an orphanage for politicians that are homeless. It didn’t take long before our man ran there when he became homeless.

“The Labour Party shouldn’t have in its company, somebody who managed 13 months of strike, workers’ strike in Anambra state.

“The Reason Obi left PDP was because they outplayed him with transactional politicking. Where is the structure of Labour Party? You should ask yourself.

“In 2019, the Labour Party Presidential candidate, got 5000 votes. I was allocated, 33,000 votes. So, even if you want to look at structure, the structure that delivered 33,0000 votes is probably bigger and better than that of 5000 votes.

“The Labour Party and Peter Obi people should come and join us. We are the ones who know how to stand up for you.

“You said you were a governor of Anambra State. When you were governor, did you build any schools, universities that your children could attend? If the question is no, why are you lying?

“Did you build any hospital in that state that you can go to if you fall sick? If it is no, why are you lying?

“Did you do any quality roads? If it’s no, why are you lying?

“I am not here to do ethnic politics, I’m not here to do religious politics. I’m here for the liberation of the Nigerian people.”
