Following an attack on the 7 Guards Battalion of the Nigerian Army Presidential Guards Troops in Bwari Area Council of Abuja on Monday, Reno Omokri has lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari.

Gunmen suspected to be terrorists had attached the troops on Monday killing some soldiers, including Lt Jauro Ibrahim Suleiman, while scores sustained injury.

The attack elicited fears among many about the security situation in the nation’s capital. The attack follows the recent attack on the Kuje Medium Security Correctional Facility where inmates were set free by the attackers.

Omokri took to his Twitter handle on Tuesday to call out the President for his inaction after the troops were attacked.

He wrote, “Yesterday, Jauro Suleiman, a soldier in Buhari’s Brigade of Guards, died when terrorists ambushed him and his squad in Abuja.

“This morning, General Buhari, the man he died defending, had his bath and travelled to Liberia without even acknowledging Jauro’s sacrifice!”

Meanwhile, President Buhari embarked on a trip to Liberia on Tuesday to be part of the country’s 175 independence anniversary celebration in Monrovia.
