In Kogi State, More than 5000 members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday.

The APC members who decamped resided in Avrugo and Igalamela/ Odulu Local Government Area.
According to the Daily Post, The former Vice Chairman of Igalamela/Odolu Local Government, Hon. Collins Adama led other party members to defect to PDP.
Hon. Collins Adama said APC failed Nigerians, adding that Nigerians must vote out bad leadership in the upcoming presidential election in 2023.
He noted that failure to do so means the nation would be doomed, adding that APC should also be ready to pack their loads from Kogi state.
Igalamela/Odolu Local Government PDP chairman, Hon Attai Ndamusa Salifu, and the party State Assembly candidate, Hon Umar Zakito welcomed Hon. Collins Adama and the other defecting APC party members.
