Nigerian Youths Equipped to Thrive – Aisha Buhari

Mrs Aisha Buhari, wife of the President has complemented the zeal and remarkable display of members of members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) during the occasion of Nigeria’s 60 Independence Anniversary Parade in Abuja last week.

She disclosed this at the Presidential Villa, Abuja when she hosted the corps members who participated in the parade to a dinner, Punch published.

Mrs Buhari urged the youths to utilise the opportunities provided by the creative industry in Nigeria, noting that they have the propensity to put up a good show in their chosen fields.

“The creativity of NYSC alongside the military has shown that Nigerian youths are capable of doing well at any given opportunity, she said.

She added, “Nigeria has an economy driven by the creative industry such as music, movies, arts, information, communication, technology and other branches offer great and lucrative opportunities for all to explore.”

In his remark, the Brig.-Gen, Ibrahim Shuaibu, Director-General of the NYSC, lauded the Aisha Buhari for hosting the youths, noting that the act was a morale-booster for the corp members.

He reechoed the commitment of the scheme to support projects birthed by the wife of the president intended to improve the lives of women, children and the vulnerable people in the society.
