Two Catholic Priests have been abducted by gunmen in Kaduna State.
Reports say the priests identified as Reverend Father John Cheitnum and Reverend Father Donatus Cleopas were kidnapped by suspected bandits at Yadin Gura in Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Reverend Father Emmanuel Okolo, the chancellor of Kafanchan Catholic Diocese, in a statement, said Fr Cheitnum is the Chairman Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Jema’a Local Government Area of the State.

Fr Okolo stated the priests were abducted on their way to the Rectory of Christ the King Catholic Church in Yadin Gura on Friday.
He went further to call for prayers for the safe and quick release of the adducted priests. It was noted that the kidnappers are yet to make any contact at the point of this report.
Recall that scores of Catholic priests in Kaduna State have been abducted in recent times, necessitating concerns among faithful.
Barely two months ago, Fr Vitus Borogo was killed while he was working on his farm at Kajuma while many others have been abducted.
