Gunmen Hijack Commercial Vehicle, Abduct Passengers in Rivers

A commercial vehicle boarded by five passengers has been hijacked by unknown gunmen on the Emohua-Kalabari axis of the East-West Road in Rivers State. Reports confirm that the vehicle was boarded by passengers on Saturday around 8 pm, however, the vehicle was later hijacked and the driver released by the gunmen. Kidnappers Demand N90m Ransom for Abducted Funeral Guests in Ondo

The Kidnappers who had abducted funeral guests in Ondo State have demanded a ransom of N90 million to procure their release. The abductees were kidnapped in ifon, Ondo state as they returned from a burial service held in Ewatto, Edo State. The kidnappers have made a demand within the range of N3 million and N10 million per victim before considering releasing them. NDDC Official Kidnapped by Gunmen in Imo State

Engineer Kingsley Okorafor has been abducted by unknown gunmen near his residence in Umuadara Umulogho Autonomous Community, Obowo Local Government Area of Imo state. The community not far away from a military checkpoint was thrown into panic, when an official of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) went missing in the early hours of Saturday. A family member disclosed that the abductee went to the vigil of the late traditional ruler of Ndihu, Eze innocent Anyawu on Friday night. Unknown Gunmen Rampaging unknown gunmen, in the early hours of yesterday set ablaze Osumenyi, Amichi and Ezinifite police stations all in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State. This is coming less than twelve hours after unknown gunmen burnt some buildings in Nnewi South Local Government Headquarters in Ukpor, which prompted the state Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to visit the scene. Police Foil Unknown Gunmen Attack On Anambra Police Station

The Anambra State police command has foiled an attack by unknown gunmen who stormed the Uli Police Station in Ihiala local government area. The attackers stormed the station in a black coloured Lexus 330 car, but were repelled by the superior firepower of the officers on duty, thus forcing the gunmen to run away. Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Tochukwu Ikenga said the operational vehicle of the gunmen was recovered by the police.It was gathered that the gunmen headed back to Mgbidi in Imo State from where they came from.
