Boko Haram Has Committed War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity with Impunity
Human rights body, Amnesty International has said that Boko Haram committed unabated crimes against humanity in Nigeria, leading to the wanton destruction of property and loss of lives.
It disclosed this in a series of tweets on its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, noting that the terrorist group has been unleashing violence on residents of the north-east region since 2009.
Amnesty International was reacting to the killing of at least 43 rice farmers at Zabarmari in the Jere Local Government Area of Borno State last Saturday by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.
