Nobody Can Bring Down Buhari-led Govt. – Presidency

The Presidency, on Friday, declared that nobody can bring down the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari. Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu made the declaration on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ program monitored by Africannewstoday. Shehu described secession agitators as “charlatans” sponsored to bully the President thinking he will cower or panic. Sunday Igboho Begs Ooni for Forgiveness

Yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has asked for forgiveness from the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi for alleging the monarch failed the Yoruba nation during his recent visit to President Muhammadu Buhari. A popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has denied ever having anything to do with a Special Adviser on Political Matters to President Muhammadu Buhari, Senator Babafemi Ojudu. Ojudu, in a piece titled “The Sunday Igboho I knew” on his on his Facebook page on Monday, alleged Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) chieftains hired Igboho to disrupt the 2009 Rerun Governorship Election in Ekiti State. IGP Orders Arrest of Sunday Igboho

The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the arrest of Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, over an eviction order on Fulanis in Oyo State. The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, confirmed this in an interview with BBC Hausa. He told BBC Hausa the IGP told him on the phone order had been given to the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Ngozi Onadeko, to arrest Igboho immediately and transfer him to Abuja. Igboho had ordered herdsmen in Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo State to leave within seven days, attributing the spate of banditry and killings in the area to them.
