SSANU Under Pressure to Resume Suspended Strike
The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU, has said the Federal Government’s failure to fulfil its agreements with the union by the April 30th deadline has put it under pressure to resume the suspended strike.
The union lamented that the government had yet to begin payment of the ensuing adjustments for the new national minimum wage and the allowances contained in the earned allowance.
This was disclosed by the SSANU President, Mohammed Ibrahim, in an interview with journalists in Abuja over the weekend.
Ibrahim said that three issues are still outstanding out of the seven points the government promised to address before April 30.
