Please Pray For Me – Father Mbaka Begs Followers Over Fresh Invitation from DSS

The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, said on Sunday that another invitation had been sent to him from the Department of State Services. Operatives of the DSS had in June 2021 visited the Adoration ground to deliver a letter of invitation to Mbaka. According to Punch, Mbaka raised a fresh alarm on Sunday that his life was no longer safe, stressing that an anonymous person brought another invitation to him for interrogation by the DSS. He had earlier disclosed the invitation from the DSS in his New Year message during the crossover night service at the Adoration Ground, Emene, Enugu. Three Inmates Escape From Kwara Prison

At least three inmates have escaped from the Mandala Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Ilorin, Kwara State. One of the escapees, Umaru Altine, is on death row convicted for armed robbery; the two others: Segun Nasir and Isa Usman, are both charged with armed robbery and awaiting trial. Armed Robbers Kill Augustine Ekanem In Akwa Ibom After Snatching His Car

Gunmen suspected to be armed robbers have killed a broadcaster with the Akwa Ibom State Broadcasting Corporation, (AKBC) Uyo, Mr Augustine Ekanem. It was gathered that Ekanem alias “Talk and laugh” and "Country Man" was shot dead at about 8:30pm on Thursday, December 30, at a filling station and his car was snatched from him at gun point. According to eye witness account, the robbers killed the journalist when they sighted him making frantic calls while they were driving away after snatching his car. The Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, has told residents of the state to brace up against the ravaging bandits, noting that they will become martyrs if they die fighting against bandits terrorising the state. He urged them to get guns and other lethal weapons to wade off the bandits.
