Nigeria: Boko Haram Strikes Again, Hijacks Bus with about 20 Passengers

About 20 people have been abducted by Boko Haram terrorists when their bus was hijacked at Maiduguri, Borno State on Wednesday. According to reports, the hijacked bus had about 20 persons on board. There has been no official statement on the incident but local residents have confirmed it. One of the residents who confirmed the incident reported that his uncle was among those abducted. Senator Dino Melaye has been reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen on his way to Kogi. Information reaching us has it that the the Senator was on his way to Kogi to appear in court over charges of allegedly aiding criminals and attempted suicide. He was billed to appear in court today (Thursday 26th July) but was ambushed and abducted along the Abuja-Lokoja Highway on his way to answer the charges. Nigeria: Nine Killed and 45 Houses Destroyed In Fresh Benue Attacks

No fewer than nine persons have been killed and 45 houses destroyed in fresh herdsmen attacks that took place in three different communities Tuesday night. According to the report on Daily Post, the attackers killed six persons in Tse Shan, two in Tse Nyamkyume in Saghev both in Guma LGA while one person was killed in Tse Ngo Jov Tombo Logo LGA.
