50 Suspects Arrested In Connection With Imo Attacks

Fifty persons have been arrested in connection with the recent attack on Owerri correctional centre and the police command in Imo state. The state governor, Hope Uzodinma, disclosed this to State House correspondents on Friday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja. Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted 77 persons at Libere village in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state. The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, April 21. According to AIT, village head of neighbouring Kalla, Aminu Na’Iri who confirmed the incident said eight members of a family, including the wife and children are among the abducted persons. BBOG Releases Names of 112 Chibok Schoolgirls Still Held Captive

The Bring Back Our Girls movement has released a list bearing the names of all the girls still held captive by the terror group, Boko Haram after their kidnap on April 14, 2014. The list was released by the Lagos chapter of BBOG during a sit-out in Ikoyi to mark the seventh anniversary of the kidnap, Punch reports. Lear Sharibu along with 275 other girls were abducted from their school while preparing for final year examinations. After seven years, 164 were said to have regained freedom.
