Wike imposes Curfew on Rivers’ Boundaries

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has imposed night curfew on  the borders Rivers shares with Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Imo states, following recent attacks and killings of security operatives  by  gunmen. The governor in a broadcast on Tuesday, said the curfew would take effect from today by 8pm. At least 20 soldiers have been feared killed in an aerial attack meant to neutralise Boko Haram/Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP). Anambra Gov Imposes 7pm – 6am Curfew

The Anambra State Government has imposed an indefinite 7pm to 6am curfew in some areas in the state. The affected communities include; Igbariam, Aguleri, Umueri, Nteje, Awkuzu And Umunya. In a statement, the Secretary to Anambra state government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu said the curfew which begins today, Monday, 26th April, 2021, will be effective until further notice. The statement advised Ndi Anambra and residents of the state living in these communities to obey the curfew order, as security personnel are on strict orders to enforce the curfew.
