Terrorists Planning to Attack South-West – Yoruba Leader Raises Alarm
Popular Yoruba historian, Professor Banji Akintoye has raised an alarm of planned terror attacks in the South-West region.
The elder statesman who is also the leader of Ilana Omo Oodua, the umbrella body for Yoruba self-determination groups, warmed that major monuments and worship centres are most at risk if the region is besieged by terror groups.
Akintoye disclosed this in a statement issued by his media aide, Maxwell Adeleye on Wednesday.
He beckoned on the governors of the South-West to be proactive in preempting the imminent attacks, noting that the terrorists had hatched finalised plans to attack important places to wreck the economy of the region.
