Terrorists Planning to Attack South-West – Yoruba Leader Raises Alarm

Popular Yoruba historian, Professor Banji Akintoye has raised an alarm of planned terror attacks in the South-West region. The elder statesman who is also the leader of Ilana Omo Oodua, the umbrella body for Yoruba self-determination groups, warmed that major monuments and worship centres are most at risk if the region is besieged by terror groups. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has raised an alarm that members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, are planning to attack some vulnerable areas in the state. He said this at a stakeholders’ forum on security chaired by Lagos State governor, Babjide Sanwo-Olu on Monday.
