Stop Branding Terrorism As Banditry – Akeredolu

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has warned that the various criminal activities of kidnapping, bombing and assault on the people in some parts of the country are being referred to as banditry must be appropriately addressed as terrorism. President Muhammadu Buhari's National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno, says the security agencies are going to do everything within their power to ensure that the people of Anambra State undergo the election exercise without any incident. There has been tension that the November 6 election may be affected by the sit-at-home order issued by the pro-Biafra group, the Indigenous People of Biafra. Gunmen Kidnap Three Worshippers During Church Vigil In Ogun

Gunmen on Sunday invaded Cherubim and Seraphim Church along Railway station in Obada-Oko in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State and kidnapped three worshippers. A source told newsmen that the victims were taken away by unknown gunmen shortly after a vigil in the church. The kidnappers after a few hours demanded N6 million ransom before their victims could be released. Our correspondent gathered that the victims are Ifeoluwa Alani-Bello, Adebare Oduntan, and Mary Oliyide. The Indigenous People of Biafra has declared a one-week sit-at-home protest across the South-East states starting from November 5, the eve of the governorship election in Anambra State. IPOB’s Media and Public Secretary, Emma Powerful, in a statement on Saturday in Awka, the Anambra State capital, said the protest was aimed at prevailing on the Federal Government to release its leader, Nnamdi Kanu. It was gathered that the facility, christened Abolongo correctional facility was attacked by the gunmen Friday evening. The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra says it fears the Federal Government will deploy the Tucano planes acquired from the United States to attack Igbo youths agitating to secede from Nigeria. This time, a shop and a trailer truck were set ablaze by hoodlums suspected to be enforcing the order at Eke — Obinagu suburb along the Enugu — Abakaliki Expressway in Enugu East Council Area of the state.
