Dalhatu Bafarawa, erstwhile Governor of Sokoto State has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to channel the proposed N400bn for the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines to tackle the deteriorating insecurity in the country. Amotekun Kicks Off in Ogun

The Ogun State Government has said that the full operation of the South West Security Outfit, codenamed Amotekun, will ensure that lives and property in the state, particularly in remote areas, are secured. Prof. Wole Soyinka, Nobel Laureate has warned that the South-West Security Network Agency popularly known as Amotekun, must not be allowed into turn into another Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigeria Police Force. Amotekun Official Shoots Policeman in Oyo

A member of the Oyo State Network Agency, Operation Amotekun, has allegedly shot and injured a police officer, identified as Fatai Yekini. reports say Yekini who is a special police constable attached to Ojongbodu Police Station, was shot at the Sanga area in Oyo town on Sunday by the Amotekun officer, Ibrahim Ogundele, Punch reports.
