President Buhari Salutes Health Workers as WHO Declares Nigeria Polio Free

President Muhammadu Buhari has lauded the effort of health workers who have tirelessly worked to ensure Nigeria gets rid of polio virus. He disclosed this on Tuesday after the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced that polio is no longer endemic in Nigeria, leaving the African continent polio free and bringing the world one step closer to achieving the goal of ending polio for good. Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai has insisted on his support for rotation of presidency to the southern region in 2023. President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the appointment of four new Supreme Court Judges. This was disclosed in a statement by Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad who named the judges as Hon. Justice Tijjani Abubakar (North-East Zone), Hon. Justice Mohammed L. Garba (North-West Zone), Hon. Justice Abdu Aboki (North-West Zone), Hon. Justice Mohammed M. Saulawa. FEC Approves N8.49bn For Purchase of COVID-19 Testing Kits

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has today ratified the sum of N8.49bn for the procurement of 12 items for the testing of deadly COVID-19 by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). President Muhammadu Buhari gave the approval during a virtual council meeting on Wednesday. The minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire presented the memo on behalf of the centre at the Council chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja after which it was considered and approved.
