Sanwo-Olu Transmits 25 names of Commissioners, Special Advisers to State Assembly for Screening

In fulfilment of his election promise to accelerate his administration’s development agenda, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Sunday, transmitted a list of Commissioner-designates to the House of Assembly for ratification. The list contained twenty five names, who are to assume duty as Commissioners and Special Advisers upon ratification by the legislature. Residents and motorist in Lagos have commended the State Government for proposing a "touch and go" electronic payment system that will allow motorists pass quickly at the toll plaza of Lekki-Ikoyi Link bridge. It would be recalled that the  State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday announced that the mode of toll collection at the bridge would completely go electronic by October this year, saying that the development was part of efforts to ensure free flow of traffic within the axis. The Lagos State Government on Thursday destroyed a truckload of toxic “ponmo” which was seized a few days ago at Ijegun by the Igando/Ikotun Police Command. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Olayiwole Onasanya, made this known at the Medical Dumpsite, Ewu Elepe, Ikorodu, where the destruction of the toxic Ponmo took place. Sanwo-Olu Visits Ijegun Fire Survivors, Warns Pipeline Vandals

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday visited victims of the recent Ijegun pipeline fire incident who are receiving treatment at the Trauma and Burns Unit of the Gbagada General Hospital. The Governor, in company of his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, sympathised with families of the victims and also appraised recuperation of the survivors. He took time to go round the three wards where some of the victims were receiving treatment for various degrees of injuries. Among the survivors are three children and four adults.
