2023Elections: Obi Beats, Atiku, Tinubu In Port Harcourt LG With 62,451 Votes

Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has won the presidential election in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State. According to the latest result, LP topped the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC in the council which is among the largest in the state. Results declared by Prof Victoria Olumide, the Port Harcourt City Collation Officer, the LP got 62451, while the PDP and APC got 7203 and 5562 votes respectively. The votes gotten by the APC in the Rivers State capital are a threat to the entire results so far collated, although Obio/Akpor, Government Nyeswom Wike’s LGA which had yet to be collated has the largest voting strength in the South-South state. Iyom Josephine Ezeanyaeche, a 104-year-old woman, has expressed her support for Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to become the president in Saturday’s election.
