The ministry denied knowledge of any such plans to proscribe ASUU.  The National Executive Council of the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, will decide on the continuation or suspension of the ongoing industrial action on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Reports say the meeting is expected to take place at the union’s national headquarters at the University of Abuja. The decision of the union will be based on reports from different state congresses that are expected to be conducted before then. INEC Clarifies Statement On Abandoning Electronic Transmission Of Results

The Independent National Electoral Committee, INEC, has debunked speculations that it has ditched the electronic transmission of results for the manual collation of results for the 2023 general election. There were reports that the electoral body had dumped the electronic transmission of results and adopted the manual process ahead of the general election next year.
