Lagos Secures Approval For Second Airport

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been issued a letter of approval by the Federal Government of Nigeria for the construction of another airport in Lekki area of the State. The approval was issued by Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation on Tuesday at the Ehingbeti Lagos Economic Summit. The Minister was positive that the new airport will provide a better window and provide an avenue for improved international economic partnerships for Lagos State. Kogi Assembly Gutted By Fire

The Kogi State House of Assembly complex situated at Crusher Area of Lokoja was up in flames in the early hours of Monday.   The damage largely damaged the Assembly complex in the ill-fated incident on Monday. Among the people that arrived the complex early were the Speaker of the house, Mathew Kolawole, and the state security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara. The cause of the fire was not clear as at the time of filing this report. Speaking on the incident, the Speaker of the Assembly expressed reservations, noting that it might be an act of sabotage, but could not mention the source of the sabotage.
