FG Denying Nnamdi Kanu Food, Drugs – IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused the Federal Government of denying its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu access to food and medications despite being sick. The group urged the whole world to speak out against the ill-treatment meted out to Mazi Kanu by the DSS in Abuja. This was disclosed in a statement issued by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful on Saturday. Demola Seriki, Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain has passed on at the age of 63.   Seriki, a Lagos State politician reportedly died in Madrid, Spain. His death was confirmed by a notice issued by his children on Thursday. According to the notice, he died in Madrid, Spain during the early hours of the day. IGP Deploys Armed Officers As Abuja-Kaduna Train Service Restarts Monday

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Baba has directed the deployment of armed operatives to secure the Abuja-Kaduna train services. This was contained in a statement issued by the force spokesperson, Oluwuyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday. Adejobi said the personnel would be drawn from the police mobile force, K-9force intelligence bureau, explosive ordinance unit, and railway police command. The Abuja-Kaduna train service is scheduled to resume on Monday, December 5. Ogun Police Arrest Two Brothers For Car Theft

The Nigeria Police, Ogun State command has nabbed two brothers for stealing a Toyota Camry in Lagos State. Officers of the force nabbed the suspects on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway while attempting to escape with the stolen car to Imo State. Court Sentences YPP Guber Candidate To 42 Years Jail Term For Fraud

Bassey Albert, the governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, has been sentenced to 42 years in prison by an Akwa Ibom federal high court for fraud.   Albert was arraigned in 2019 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a six-count charge of allegedly taking possession of six vehicles valued at N204 million when he was Akwa Ibom State finance commissioner. He reportedly obtained one of the cars from Jide Omokore, an associate of Diezani Alison Madueke, former minister of petroleum. A Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court on Tuesday remanded a 500-level student of the Federal University, Dutse, Aminu Muhammad, in a custodial centre for allegedly criticing the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari. The 24-year-old was accused of tweeting against the first lady of Nigeria.
