Naja’atu Mohammed Names Aisha Buhari As Part Of Aso Rock Cabals

Naja’atu Mohammed, a former Director of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, has named the first lady, Aisha Buhari, as a member of the cabals in Aso Rock. This comes after the statement of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, that some Aso Rock cabals were trying to scuttle the presidential bid of APC candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the February elections. No Going Back On Feb 10 Deadline For Old Naira Notes – CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has insisted that the deadline for the use of old naira notes will not be extended. The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, while speaking during a briefing on Friday at the apex bank’s Lagos office, said the CBN, and deposit money banks, DMBs, were making effort to resolve the current challenges with the circulation of the new currency notes. The apex bank recently extended the deadline for the use of the old naira notes from January 31 to February 10. One Million Africans May Die Of Cancer By 2030 – WHO

Dr Matshidisco Moeti, the World Health Organisation, WHO, Regional Director for Africa, expressed fear that cancer mortality may rise to about one million deaths per year by 2030 in Africa if urgent actions and interventions are not undertaken. Moeti said that an estimated 1.1 million new cancer cases are recorded every year in Africa, with about 700,000 deaths. She disclosed this in a message to mark the 2023 World Cancer Day. World Cancer Day is an annual international day commemorated on February 4 to increase awareness of cancer and encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.
