Nigeria: Muslim Rights Concern Gives Falz 7 Days to Withdraw Video

Falz is once again the center of attention with regards to his "This is Nigeria" video. The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has given Falz a 7-day period within which to withdraw the video and apologise to Nigerians. According to the group, if he does not do this, he will face legal actions. The group particularly had issues with the girls dancing "shaku shaku" while dressed in hijab. They also commented on the Fulani man who was shown beheading someone after dropping his traditional guitar. The Nigerian Police Force has invited the Nigerian Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki to answer some questions regarding the Offa robbery which led to the death of a total of about 33 persons, nine of which were Police officers. Nigeria: Successful Heart Surgeries Performed in JUTH

Four patients over the period of four weeks had successful heart surgeries at the Jos University Teaching Hopsital, Jos Plateau State. According to the hospital's Chief Medical Director, Professor Edmund Banwat, the surgeries which are milestones in the nation's health delivery services, took place in the hospitals main theatre. He said "We have made a bold statement that cardiac hear surgery is very possible here in Jos University Teaching Hospital. We have exceeded our expectations. Nigeria: Fresh Attack by Armed Herdsmen Leave Eight Dead

About eight persons have been killed in a fresh attack by armed herdsmen in Tseadough village in Kwande local council of Benue State. The attack which took place on Saturday night left seven persons dead and six injured. One of the injured later died at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital where they were rushed to for treatment. According to the Local Government chairman, a number of homes were burnt down and a woman was kidnapped. There has however not been an official statement regarding the attack.
