Man City may re-sign Iheanacho – Paul Stewart

Former Manchester City star Paul Stewart, said his former side could look to bring Kelechi Iheanacho back to the Etihad if he keeps up his good form. Man City will be on the hunt for a new striker this summer as Sergio Aguero is set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season and he will leave as the club’s all-time top scorer. City sold Iheanacho in 2017 to Leicester City but he had failed to live up to his £25 million price tag until lately when Brendan Rodgers decided to play with two strikers and his form has been so good he won March’s player of the month award. Speaking on how before this purple patch of form City wouldn’t have regretted selling Iheanacho and how they could bring him back to the Etihad, Stewart who made 63 appearances for Manchester ...

‘He’s A Different Player ‘ – Rodgers Talks Up Leicester City Hero Iheanacho

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has lavished praises on Kelechi Iheanacho after the forward scored a stunning winner in the Foxes’s 2-1 win against Crystal Palace on Monday night. Iheanacho set up Timothy Castagne for Leicester’s equalising goal five minutes after the interval before netting the decisive strike 10 minutes from time. The Nigeria international has now scored 14 goals in his last 14 outings across all competitions for Brendan Rodgers’ side. “It’s a great comparison, because he missed a penalty (in the reverse fixture) and his confidence wasn’t high,” Rodgers said reflecting on Iheanacho’s improvement. “A few months on, he’s a different player. “We knew the quality he has, the talent he has, and now he’s getting an opportunity. “We were playing a syste...

Iheanacho Scores as Leicester City reach FA Cup Final

Kelechi Iheanacho scored his 15th goal of the season as Leicester City defeated Southampton 1-0 in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday. Since his FA Cup debut in January 2016, Iheanacho has scored 14 goals in 19 games - more than any other player in the competition. His record of 15 goals so far this season puts him two goals behind former Watford star Odion Ighalo, who scored 17 goals in all competitions in the 2015-16 campaign. The second-half strike also made the Nigeria international the latest African star to score at Wembley in a FA Cup game after Morocco's Hakim Ziyech scored Chelsea's only goal against Manchester City on Saturday, and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang grabbed a...

We Must Take our Chances Against Brentford – Iheanacho

Nigeria footballer, Kelechi Iheanacho expects a tougher atmosphere at the Brentford Community Stadium when they clash again in the fourth round of the same competition today. Iheanacho calls on his teammates to take their chances against obviously improved Brentford as they chase down their first FA Cup title. “We played them last time in the FA Cup and probably the team has changed a little bit,” Iheanacho told LCFC TV via video call. “They were a good side last time we played them, and they have good quality players as well, so they might hurt us if we’re not careful. We need to just be ourselves, play our own game and make sure that we get the win. “We need to take our chances when they come in the first half, so they don’t take us to the second half. “They’re at home, an...
