Naira Marley’s Internet Fraud Trial Adjourned Till October 5

The Federal High Court Ikoyi, Lagos State has adjourned till October 5, 2021, for the continuation of the trial of popular Nigerian musician, Afeez Adeshina Fashola, otherwise known as Naira Marley, who is facing trial on an 11-count charge of credit card fraud brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Naira Marley debunked all the charges levelled against him when he was arraigned in 2019. The prosecution had presented two witnesses, Nuru Buhari Dalhatu and Augustine Anosike, both forensic experts with the EFCC, since the commencement of the trial. Igboho’s Aides Ask Court to Order Their Release

The 12 aides of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, arrested by the Department of State Services during a raid on Igboho’s Ibadan home have asked to be taken before the Federal High Court in Abuja and be granted bail. The detainees, who been in the custody of the DSS since the past week in a suit filed by their counsel, Chief Yomi Alliyu, SAN, on Friday demanded to be set free.
