Terrorist Attack – Seven Soldiers Feared Dead in Taraba

A suspected terrorist attack has left about seven soldiers dead in Taraba State. Reports say that the soldiers were killed in a forest located around Amdami in the Karim-Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State on Thursday. The incident was confirmed by the Chairman of Karim Lamido council, Markus Hamidu, according to Daily Post. The soldiers were reportedly on patrol within the area. Hamidu said, “Seven soldiers were killed by bandits yesterday (Thursday) around Amdami area. It is very unfortunate. Some villagers in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have fled their homes following Sunday’s attack that left no fewer than 32 people dead while others were injured. The Kaduna State Government through its Commissioner for International Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the attack. Women in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo state, who were mostly traders at the popular Oja Oba Market in Owo, Ondo State, staged a protest Tuesday to mourn victims of the shooting at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo.
