Gov Obaseki Appoints Osarodion Ogie as SSG

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has ratified the appointment of Osarodion Ogie Esp., as Secretary to the State Government (SSG). Obaseki who was sworn in on Tuesday for a second term in office disclosed in a statement that Ogie’s appointment was the only political appointment he would make for the time being. He said that every other appointment will be delayed to the first week of February, 2021. Recall that Ogie held the same position during the governor’s first term. Obaseki who contested the September 19 governorship poll in the state under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defeated his closest rival, Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Friday unveiled Nigeria’s first electric car dubbed Hyundai Kona. The car which is a product of Stallion Group was unveiled at the VON automoviles Nigeria, Ojo Lagos. Sanwo-Olu while speaking at the launch said that VON has acquired over 40 to 50 years of vehicle manufacturing expertise. AGAIN, NNPC Hikes Petrol Price, Marketers to Sell at N168-170/litre

The Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), has announced a rise in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, to N155.17 per litre from N147.67 per litre. The PPMC which is a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), revealed this in an internal memo dated November 11, 2020. The memo signed by Tijani Ali said that the new ex-depot price would take effect from Friday (today), Punch reports. The ex-depot price is the price at which petrol is sold y the PPMC to marketers at the depots. According to the PPMC, the pump price of PMS is expected to increase to N161.36 per litre from N153.86 per litre.
