Women Affairs Minister, Pauline Tallen Tests Positive for COVID-19

Pauline Tallen, Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, has tested positive for COVID-19. This was contained in a statement the minister issued on Sunday, which she personally signed. She disclosed that though she was asymptomatic, her test result showed that she was positive. The statement read, “Following interactions with individuals that later showed asymptomatic signs of COVID-19, I was advised by my medical team to undergo the test and self isolate for observation over the past few days. “This is to inform the general public that after undergoing a test carried out on me and members of my family, my result returned positive while the results of members of my family were negative. Gov Lalong Recovers from COVID-19

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong has tested negative for COVID-19, less than one week after contracting the virus. This was contained in a statement by the spokesperson for the Governor, Dr Macham Makut, on Thursday in Jos. “The governor is now free of the disease after his latest test returned negative. The Governor’s negative status was communicated to him on Wednesday night,” Makut said. The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has rubbished reports that its website, nimc.gov.ng, has crashed. It said the site is undergoing an upgrade for best performance as many Nigerians seek to obtain their National Identity Numbers (NIN), adding that the site would be available on Tuesday (today).
