Gunmen Burn Court In Imo – Second Incident In 24 Hours

Gunmen have set ablaze the magistrate court in Owerri, Imo State capital on Sunday afternoon. Reports say that no life was lost in the incident. The incident could not be confirmed by the Imo police spokesperson, Michael Abattam, as he did not respond to calls and messages when contacted. Meanwhile, the incident happened hours after a similar development. Gunmen had on Saturday set ablaze the high court in Orlu Local Government Area, LGA, of the state. The latest arson on courts follows the torching of several government facilities in the state which has resulted in the loss of lives and properties. “You Can’t Kill Me” – Apostle Suleman Reacts To Gunmen Attack

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the President of the Omega Fire Ministries worldwide, was on Friday attacked along the Benin-Auchi road, Edo State by yet-to-be-identified gunmen. The gunmen killed three police officers and four others during the attack. Reports say the clergy returned from a trip to Tanzania and was on his way to a function when gunmen raided his convoy.   The attack was confirmed by Samuel Amune, Suleman’s lawyer, in an interaction with Punch, noting that the Apostle just returned from Tanzania and narrowly escaped death, alongside his family.
