Iwobi Savours Super Eagles Win Against Lesotho

Super Eagles winger, Alex Iwobi has expressed delight over the team’s 3-0 triumph against Lesotho in their last game of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium. The three-time African champions topped the qualifiers with an unbeaten record, garnering four wins and two draws. The Nigerian side saw recorded a comprehensive win against the Crocodiles through goals from Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu. Iwobi who made a comeback after missing the last match after testing positive for COVID-10 took to social media to celebrate the win. AFCON Qualifier: Lesotho Arrive Nigeria Today Ahead of Tuesday Clash with Super Eagles

The Lesotho national football team will arrive in Nigeria on Monday morning ahead of Tuesday’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. African News Today gathered that the match commissioner and referees had arrived Nigeria on Sunday, while the security officer and referees’ assessor arrived in Lagos on Saturday. Lesotho played a barren draw with Sierra Leone in Maseru on Saturday but have missed out on a place for the finals in Cameroon. The Lesotho team is scheduled to train at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Monday evening by 5 pm.
