In commemoration of this year’s World Refugee Day, the Nigerian Red Cross Society in Enugu in collaboration with the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, NCFRMI, and the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace, SCORP, University of Nigeria Medical Students Association have organized a free medical outreach for persons of concern in the state. Enugu Red Cross Trains 20 Volunteers on COVID-19 Risk Communication

The Nigerian Red Cross Society has trained over 20 selected Red Cross volunteers in Enugu State on COVID-19 risk communication and community engagement. The two-day training which was supported by the International Federation of the Red Cross had volunteers from Enugu North, Enugu East and Nkanu West local government areas of the state. Yello Fever: Red Cross Trains 140 on Risk Communication

Following the outbreak of yellow fever in Enugu State, the Nigerian Red Cross Society has trained over 140 volunteers of the organisation in the state on yellow fever risk communication. The training which was supported by the International Federation of the Red Cross was aimed at increasing the knowledge of yellow fever transmission, prevention and control, and support communities to adopt safe behaviours through risk communication and community engagement activities.
