Makinde Set to Build New Abuja Governor’s Lodge at N1.2bn

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and the state executive council has ratified N1.2 billion to build a new governor’s lodge in Abuja.

This was disclosed by Daud Sangodoyin, the Commissioner of Public Works and Infrastructure, stating that the council ratified N1.2 billion to construct a new Governor’s Lodge at No 2. John Kadiya Close, Asokoro, Abuja.

According to Sangodoyin, the new lodge would provide apartments for the governor, deputy governor, chalets, fittings, and furniture, “which would be of modern type.”

The commissioner added that the government would complete the building project in six months.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that Sangodoyin explained that the old lodge was no longer fit for the governor’s use.
