Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa has been sidelined for Nigeria’s international friendly against Mexico as a result of injury, African News Today has gathered.
Ezenwa who plays for Heartland FC of Owerri picked up an injury in training on Monday and will not recover in time to feature in the game scheduled to take place on Sunday morning at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The goalkeeper will not join the travel party to the United States for the highly anticipated game due to the setback.

Enyimba’s John Noble and Valentine NwabilI of Lobi Stars are the two other goalkeepers in the team’s camp.
The injury brings the list of players expected to execute the game to 22 players.
The players and their officials will depart for the match through the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja later on Wednesday (today) for the friendly.
