Musa To Make Pillars Debut Vs Enyimba May 5, Opts Out Of Away Games

Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa will make his competitive debut for Kano Pillars against Enyimba on May 5, Musa rejoined the Sai Masu Gida on a ‘flexible short-term loan deal’ last week. Musa will however not be available for majority of the club’s away fixtures due to bad roads and security concerns. According to club sources the former Leicester City star will only take part in away games with close proximity to Kano. The winger trained with his new teammates for the first time on Monday morning. Top officials revealed he will not be on a salary, while his bonuses will be donated to charity. Four-time NPFL champions Pillars are joint top of the current league table with Kwara United. The NPFL resumes later this month after a mid-season break.

Musa Explains Kano Pillars Move

Super Eagles skipper, Ahmed Musa, has disclosed why he decided to rejoin his former club Kano Pillars. On Tuesday, Kano Pillars confirmed that Musa had rejoined them, having signed a deal until the end of the season. Musa's agreement includes a clause that allows him to leave when and if he can find a club in Europe. He joins as a Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) elite player to boost their image and help Musa maintain his fitness as he continues his search for a European club. Oshoala Undergoes Surgery

Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has been ruled out of action for some time due to injury, her Spanish club Barcelona have confirmed. The surgery was to correct the defect on her right foot. “The player had been suffering from discomfort for a few weeks, which had caused her to miss a game, such as the one at Santa Teresa. The intervention was given by Dr. Dalmau, under the supervision of the Medical Services of FC Barcelona. “The evolution of the player will mark her return to the field of play,” the club said in a statement. Oshoala last featured for Barcelona Femino in their UEFA Women’s Champions League match against Manchester City last week.

The Confederation of African Football has picked Cape Verde referee Fabricio Duarte to take charge of Tuesday’s 2022 Africa Cup of Nations dead rubber game against the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun stadium. AFCON 2021: Super Eagles Forced To Train In Darkness Ahead of Benin Clash

Super Eagles were forced to train in darkness at the Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto-Novo on Friday ahead of their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic. According to a report by Completesports, the stadium officials put off the light at the ground for the entire duration of the team’s training session. Egypt and Ghana have both qualified for the African Cup of Nations on Thursday and were joined by Comoros and Gambia, who will make surprising debuts at next year’s tournament.
