Onitsha-Enugu Road Construction at Zero Level – Obiano

Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano informed President Muhammadu Buhari that construction work at the Onitsha-Enugu federal road has slowed down to almost zero level. Governor Obiano appealed to Buhari to intervene in ensuring speedy delivery of equipment for the construction of Second Niger Bridge which have been purchased but are being delayed Germany. Kogi Govt Mourns Victims of Tanker Explosion

  Kogi state government has declared a two-day mourning period in commemoration of those who died in the tanker explosion in Felele, along the Lokoja-Abuja highway on Wednesday killing over 25 persons. The victims which included three nursery school pupils, five students of the state-owned polytechnic, and passersby were burnt beyond recognition in the explosion. The explosion was said to have been caused by a head on collision between a fuel-laden tanker and another vehicle. The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has said that the Bell 206-B3 that crashed on Salvation Road, Opebi in the Ikeja area of Lagos State has no black box. Investigation has started without the black box, revealed AIG, the investigating body in charge of all air-related mishaps in Nigeria.
