Nigeria: Nigerian Air Force Appoints Branch Chiefs, Redeploys AOCs

In a bid to adopt effective operational system, the Nigerian Air Force on Wednesday appointed new Branch Chiefs, redeployed 2 Air Officers Commanding (AOCs) and other senior officers. In a statement from its spokesman, Air commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said the new appointments take effect from 19th of July. According to Daramola,  two Air Officers Commanding were redeployed in the force. STAND Foundation has called for the establishment of Sexual Assault and Referral Centers (SARC) dedicated to offer Medicare, and emotional support to the victims of any sexual assaults in the country. Thirty people were killed late Sunday in multiple suicide bombing in northeast Nigeria, emergency services reported, in an attack bearing the hallmarks of the Boko Haram jihadist group. Three bombers detonated their explosives outside a hall in Konduga, 38 kilometres (24 miles) from the Borno state capital Maiduguri, where football fans were watching a match on TV. “The death toll from the attack has so far increased to 30.
