Govs Can’t Ban Open Grazing – Miyetti Allah

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a factional unit for herdsmen in Nigeria, has opposed the ban imposed on open grazing of cattle by South-West governors. Their position is, however, in contrast to that of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, which at a meeting with some governors in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on January 25, aligned with the position of the governors. Security Agents Nab Eight Suspects For Attacking ACTDA Officers in Anambra

A group of eight suspects who attacked and injured field operations officers working with the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, at an unapproved construction site in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area, has been nabbed by security agents. The suspects, all males in their twenties, had on Thursday, February 25th, 202, assailed the ACTDA field inspectors who demanded the approval papers for construction works at the building site where the suspects were working. Popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmed Gumi has asked that government pardons and grants amnesty to bandits just like it did to coup plotters and instigators of civil war that led to the death of several citizens of the country. Gumi said this while reacting to the Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna on Thursday, noting that there was need for bandits to be forgiven for the sake of peace. FG Declares Zamfara ‘No-fly zone’, Bans Mining Indefinitely

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the declaration of Zamfara State as a “no fly zone” in an attempt to subdue the security challenges confronting the state.
