Govs Can’t Ban Open Grazing – Miyetti Allah

The Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a factional unit for herdsmen in Nigeria, has opposed the ban imposed on open grazing of cattle by South-West governors. Their position is, however, in contrast to that of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, which at a meeting with some governors in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on January 25, aligned with the position of the governors. A group of eight suspects who attacked and injured field operations officers working with the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, at an unapproved construction site in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area, has been nabbed by security agents.
